it It is considered
that learning history is the most crucial subject (여기를 한국어로 바꾸면, '역사를 배우는 것은 가장 중요한 과목이~~' 가 됩니다. 말이 안 되는 걸 알 수 있죠. 배우는 것은 가장 중요하다~이렇게 가야합니다. 7점에서는 이런 거 하나하나 다 중요하니까 잘 체크해주세요!) than any other subjects in
school. However, I firmly believe that in modern society, acquiring scientific
and technological knowledge far outweighs learning history.
On the one hand, there are those who believe that (discuss both 유형에서는 이렇게, 혹은 이와 비슷한 방식으로 가세요!) studying history in class is of help for students
than learning other subjects, such as science or technology, as it could widen
students’ viewpoints towards the world. It is axiomatic that today's happenings
are directly related to past events. To specify, for example, the wars that
happened between nations have a profound impact on today's political and social
relationships between the countries. This means that knowing the events that
happened in the past allows students to accumulate various information, helping
them to better understand present events and to broaden their perspectives,
which can be useful for their everyday lives. Nevertheless, science and technology are far more valuable
compared to history, taking students’ future careers and salaries into
consideration. It is an undeniable fact that industries relevant to science or
advanced technology are highly lucrative and promising areas that pay
relatively a huge amount of money to their employees. Therefore, by studying
science and acquiring knowledge about modern technology, students could not
only earn a large amount of money but also get a job handily in the future,
which is a better choice considering their future lives. In conclusion, when all specific reasons and relevant examples are
considered and evaluated, I steadfastly concur with the statement that focusing
on science and technology is more significant than learning history.
