Overall, hamburger was consumed the most throughout the chart. Salad experienced by far the greatest change in consumption rate from 2005 to 2025.
In 2005, fast foods that were eaten the most were hamburger and fried chicken, having 40 units and 35 units respectively, while only 5 units of salad and 6 units for fired rice and noodles were consumed. In the present, despite the figure for hamburger diminished 2 units, it still had the most consumption units in Melbourne. By contrast, only 8 units of noodles and 9 units of fried rice were eaten.
By 2025, the estimated consumption of salad jumped to 41 units, which was more than four times of the figure in 2005. The estimate for noodles rose by a further 1 unit from it was in the present, while estimate for fried rice remained stable.
