These days, there are numerous historical sites and museums which many people are visiting over the world. However, people visiting those sites are mainly tourists not local people. For this reason, this essay will demonstrate the reason of this issue and solutions.
First of all, most touring programs such as visiting museums and historical sites have focused on tourists. Tourism is one of the major industries today, so many governments and countries are making an effort to attract people outside in order to visit their attractions as well as increase economical profits. For this reason, a number of promotions are combined with visiting various historical sites and other attractions. If tourists visit some country, they normally search for a reasonable tour course which is affordable and to visit many places at once. This would make local people have no interest, because not only they have enough time to get attractions there, but also they do not have thoughts for visiting many places at once.
To attract local people to visit their historical sites and museums, useful promotions for them are necessary. One of the efficient ways is to provide discounts for local people. Most tourists spend their weekend to visit attractions. In this regard, a number of promotions are provided to local people such as visiting museums and historical sites on weekdays. It can bring about increase attention from local people and activate local economy. Besides, providing huge discounts and educated materials to the local students when they visit sites would be an efficient way to resolve this issue.
