Your Answer ▼ Nowadays some of the people argue
that children's leisure activities should be educational; otherwise, it is
useless and wasteful. In my perspective, I disagree with the aforementioned
statement as children also need some time off from learning and relief stress. To begin with, there are lots of leisure activities we can think
of such as martial arts, team sports, playing computer games and watching TV.
Among those activities some are educational and some are not, but can we say
only educational hobbies are useful and it is the way of using their time
effectively and meaningfully? I highly doubt it, It is undeniable that many of
the schoolers get a lot of stress from inside and outside of school. They need
some way to release their stress by doing something that they enjoy most and
not thinking of what they can achieve from doing it; however, there should be a
guideline for them. For example, parents and teachers have to make some rules with
them so the youngsters do not spend too much time on doing fun activities only
and make them do their study before or after the free time. As a result, by letting
them have some time off from learning, it will encourage children to study
harder.
In conclusion, In my opinion, giving some break time to young
children to do fun leisure activities that are free from learning is necessary
and useful. Therefore, parents and educators should encourage children to have any
leisure activities whether it is educational or not. [254 words] |
