These three pie charts compare the average percentages in typical meals in three different nutrients such as sodium, saturated fat and added sugar in the United States of America, which may be unhealthy if consumed too much. As you can see from the above figures, the most noticeable feature among these charts is the fact that snacks take up the biggest portion in added sugar consumption, which accounted for 42%. To begin with, the first thing that has to be mentioned here is that apart from the added sugar category, dinner displays the highest proportion in sodium and saturated fat chart, followed by lunch and breakfast. Also, it is quite interesting to note that snacks and breakfast showed an equal proportion in salt consumption; however, in added sugar, the proportion of added sugar is almost 3 times bigger than that of breakfast. Overall, except snacks in breakfast, lunch and dinner, dinner accounts for the biggest part in the sodium, saturated fat and added sugar, secondly, lunch and lastly, breakfast. [169 words] |
