In
order to address the problem of tourists damaging historical sites, its causes
such as trial to get better photographs have to be clearly understood by the
society. To accomplish this, the most practical solution would be implementing
strict rules at the historical places.
One
of the main causes of people damaging historical sites is the trial to get
better photographs. As historical sites are tourist attractions, many visitors
tend to get nice photographs. However, this would cause damages to historical
sites. For example, people who go into the restriction line for better angle of
the photographs or touch the historical artifacts to make photographs more
interesting might harm the historical places. This shows that the trial to get
nice photographs could harm the historical sites, making them harder to
preserve.
To
alleviate the prevalent causes of destroying historical sites, the
organizations have to implement strict rules. Strict rules such as imposing
fine or giving penalty when people harmed the historical sites would help to
preserve the historical places. According to research of historical sites which
tried to implement strict rules when visiting the places, the percentage of
visitors damaging the historical places decreased compared to the period that
the rules were not implemented.
To
sum up, it is clear that the problem of visitors damaging many historical sites
is caused by reasons such as visitors’ trial to have better photographs. However,
the problem can be sufficiently solved if the rules of visiting historical
sites are implemented by the organizations. |
