Global warming is affecting the quality of our lives and the Earth in
varied ways. It is agreed that nowadays
global warming is the most crucial issue we have. <(it is agreed라는 표현을 글쓴이의 주장을 전달해주는 것 보다는 일반 적인 주장을 전달을 해줍니다) This essay will discuss why
the global warming issue is the biggest challenge we face by explaining how
global warming reduces lands and increases the prevalence of disease, followed
by a reasoned conclusion. First of all, global
warming, mainly caused by greenhouse gases emissions, is reducing habitats of
human beings and animals. As average surface temperatures have been increasing,
more and more polar ice caps are melting, resulting in transforming lands to
sea. This leads to the lack of habitats for both human beings and animals.
Japan and the Netherlands are the prime examples; many scientists expect that
most of their lands will turn into sea due to global warming. Losing habitats,
one of the dangerous consequences of climate change, threatens our lives. On top of that, global
warming is the biggest problem for us because increased temperatures will
escalate the number of death. Climate change allows disease-carrying insects
and animals to thrive in places where they rarely survived before because of
low temperatures. With an increased number of such insects and animals, people
can easily get an infectious disease, such as Malaria and Zika virus disease which
have killed a huge number of people worldwide. According to many studies conducted
by London School Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, warmer temperatures cause
hundreds of thousands of deaths. Thus, global warming even raises rises human beings’ death.
In conclusion, it is
agreed that global warming is the greatest concern of human beings due to its powerful
consequences which reduce our habitats and increases the number of death caused
by communicable disease.
