▶ Your Answer :
It is
generally argued that capacities of human beings are different between genders.
Although some employers assert that specific jobs should exclude male or female
workers due to their gender, I believe that it is not right for companies
to limit professions by genders.
First
of all, it is not fair to exclude certain gender from specific professions
because everyone should be equal to find a career. International laws in modern
democratic society guarantee a gender equality, which means that both men and
women equally have right to work in any fields. Therefore, when a company
excludes job candidates by genders, it is against the basic rules in the
globalized world. In this regards, it is difficult to find companies, particularly
multinational ones, which recruit only one type of gender.
On
top of that, as individuals have different capacities, it is not suitable to
exclude employees by their gender. With personal capacities, which are against
the expectation of conventional ability, a person can play a key role in
specific careers that are not commonly opened to his gender. For example, some
of my male friends who take professions in female-dominant sectors from nursing
to teaching have experienced outstanding outcomes in their jobs, leading to
break prejudice of conventional roles for males and it is also common to see female
friends working in areas which were traditionally considered as male jobs such
as sports players and police officers.
In
conclusion, although there is still prejudice of conventional roles for men and
women, I believe that it is right for both males and females to have equal
opportunity to find employment in any professions.
