Many people regard film as less important art forms than literature and paintings.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
There is a disagreement regarding the issue
of whether or not the movie is a less important area of art than other art
forms like literature and paintings. Some people agree that compared to other
arts, the film is inferior while others disapprove of it. Personally, I believe
that movie as an art form is a great genre and it has equal state to other art
areas.
First of all, I think that one of the
functions of arts is to give people emotional effects, so when people
appreciate artworks, they can feel a variety of emotions like joy, sadness, and
stir. It is well known that movie causes people to express their emotions in
numerous ways, so while watching a movie, some people are crying or touched.
Therefore, the movie can have equal effects on people like other art forms.
On top of that, most artworks made by
artists who create something new, so writers or painters have a lot of effort
to create new results by using their imagination. Likewise, movie directors
generate a new world in their films and experience the agony of creativity.
Moreover, the movie is made by various artists’ cooperation. Making films needs
numerous artists like writers, musicians, and painters because the movie
consists of several art genres such as narratives, music, and pictures.
Therefore, it is clear that the movie is a total artwork collaborated by
various artists.
In conclusion, some people assert that the
movie has less value than other art genres because it is so commercial and
popular. However, I personally think that film is also a great art form as
others since it can give people a chance to express their emotions and movie is
made by various artists. So, I guess that movie sometimes would outweigh other
art areas.
