The bar graph shows the amount of hours used for technology per month in America between 1980 and 2015.
Firstly, the total hours of radio per month was exclusively high among four devices. The figure was over 300 between from
1980 to 1990. However, it decreased from 370 to 90 between 1990 and 2015. Unlike radio, It is also observed that the amount of hours of television, the next most used device, was increased constantly until 2010. The figure increased from 40 to 210
between 1980 and 2010.
Secondly, the use of computer and smartphone increased radically from 2000. It is clear that the total hours of computer
skyrocketed from 60 to 370 between 1990 and 2015. At the same period, the figure of smartphone increased from 1 to 350.
It is noteworthy that the trend of use of modern technology had been changed completely. In 2015, the total number of hours of computer and smartphone were 370 and 350 while that of television and radio were 190 and 90, respectively.
Overall, it is seen that the use of computer and smartphone had promising growth throughout the second half of the period.
