The pie charts below show the comparison of different kinds of energy production of France in two years.
The pie charts illustrate the five different energy resources that were produced in France between 1995 and 2005. Overall, the production of coal was the highest in both given years, while nuclear and other energy were the lowest.
In 1995, the proportion of the production of coal, gas and petrol were quite similar with all being higher than 29% while the percentage of nuclear and other energy were under 7%. However, ten years later, all energy resources but petrol saw an increase in production. There was less than 1% increase in both coal and gas production, from 29.80% and 29.63% to 30.93% and 30.31% respectively, but the proportion of petrol production decreased by nearly 10% in 2005, from 29.27% to 19.55%.
Whereas, the most dramatic increases were found in the proportion of nuclear energy and other energy production. Both energy’s production increased by around 4%. Although these changes in production, coal was still the most produced energy at 30.93%, followed by the gas production at 29.63%, while the other energy was the least produced in France.
