Q.
As the present time, the population of some
countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the
number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?
A.
It is true that some countries have more
young generation than old generation. Even though it has a lot of pros and cons
that the young population is larger than elderly population, I strongly believe
the advantages of having more young population outweigh the disadvantages. This
essay will discuss about both pros and cons and my opinion as well.
Especially, from a realistic point of view,
having more young adult can mean that not only more people can work but also it
can lead to the circulation of the economy. If the country doesn’t have enough
manpower, it will face a recession. Not only this, having more elderly
population implies the problem of the low birth date as well. It can also connect
to economic growth. For example, in Korea, there are many problems that caused
by an aging society. Because, there a lot of people who receive government
subsidies, while a few young generations have to work to pay high taxes. For these
reasons, I think advantages of having more young adults outweigh the
disadvantages.
However, of course, it has some
disadvantages. If there are too many workers in the country, the competition
will be fierce and It can be lead to the problem of the employment. As the situation
is getting worse, the governments have to handle this properly.
To conclude, even though I do think having
a number of young adults can lead to a positive economic effect, it would be cautious
to claim that it is always helpful.
