The bar chart illustrates the amount of time that the adolescents spent participating in seven types of activities in Chester for six years.(from 2002 to 2007) Overall, teenagers spent their time the most on watching television as opposed to Bowling which is the least of them participated in. There are increase in the time that adolescents spent taking part in going to pubs and discos, watching television and shopping, whereas in terms of doing homework, doing sport and Bowling, the hours they spent doing these activities decreased in given period. Teenagers watched television for 25 hours a week in 2002 and went up considerably from 2004, reaching a peak over 35 in 2007. Likewise, regarding to going to pubs and discos and shopping, it accounted to under 10 in 2002 and then inclined steadily to over 15 and just 15 respectively. Otherwise, the hours that the adolescents spent doing homework was estimated over 10 in 2002 and decreased gradually to under 5 in 2007 as well as doing sport, accounted around 10 in 2002 to under 5 in 2007 and Bowling which is under 5 in the whole given period. Whereas, the time watching DVDs climbed significantly from slightly over 10 in 2002 to above 15 in 2004 just before a considerable drop to about 10 in 2007. |
