These pie charts indicate the proportion of land use by purpose in Portugal, New Zealand, Canada, and Norway.
Overall, it is clearly seen that land used for non-agricultural purpose was the greatest in four countries. In addition, in most countries except most countries, excepting New Zealand, the percentage of pasture land was larger than arable land.
Looking at pie charts more closely, Canada and Norway showed similar aspects in ground using. Their primary purpose was non-farming, taking up more than 90%. The second largest proportion was arable land, which accounted for 5% and 3% in two countries, respectively, and the least land was used for pasture.
Turning to Portugal , 9% of the entire land was used for pasture. Also, land used using for cultivating crops was quite large, comprising 34%, compared to other three countries. In terms of New Zealand, Pasture land took up almost half of total land, and framing land was the smallest. |
