It is a common belief that, the world becoming more globalisation, advertisements over the world have continued to become characterless. Actually, same advertisements are boardcasting in many countries. However, I still believe that advertising which is on air in a country can give people information of the country.
Nowadays, for mass-product can save cost and make managing more efficiently, many multi-national companies supply products that are indiffent in shape and quality over the world. many electronic gears such as cellular phone is an example. In this case, many companies use same advertisement to attract consumers of the countries in which the products are released. If one had an experience to travel other countries, then one could have easily find those cases.
Nevertheless, there is some companies so dominant in their country that they can make and sell unique items which have privilege status at home. Naturally, in this case, advertising of that items has characters which are related to their nation. moreover, even mass-producted items often use particular advertisement that aim to preference or favour of the countries in which the companies want to promote their sales. As every nations have their own culture, during the process, it shows culture, religions, history, taboo, and so on of theirs naturally.
To sum up, due to globalisation and the way of mass-product, advertising has a tendency to lost their own character about their own country. However, it is more pursuasive argument that many advertisement still consider the culture of the country in which products are sold, so that Advertising gives people information of that. |
