It is a common belief that, as the world becoming more globalisation globalized, advertisements over the world have continued to become characterless. Actually, same advertisements are boardcasting broadcasted in many countries. However, I still believe that advertising which is on air in a certain country can give people information of the country.
Nowadays, for since mass-product can save cost and make managing more efficiently, many multi-national companies supply products that are indiffent in shape and quality over the world. Many electronic gears appliances such as cellular phone is an example. In this case, many companies use the same advertisement to attract consumers of the countries in which the products are released. If one had an experience to travel to other countries, then one could have easily find found those cases.
Nevertheless, there is are some companies so dominant in their country that they can make and sell unique items which have privilege status at home. Naturally, in this case, advertising of that items has characters which are related to their nation. Moreover, even mass-producted produced items often use particular advertisement that aim to preference prefer or favour of the countries in which the companies want to promote their sales. As every nations have their own culture, during the process, it shows culture, religions, history, taboo, and so on of theirs naturally.
To sum up, due to globalisation and the way of mass-product production, advertising has a tendency to lost lose their own character about their own country. However, it is a more pursuasive argument that many advertisement still consider the culture of the country in which products are sold, so that advertising gives people information of that country. |
