It is a common belief that we have already had choices as many as we can not choose. However, I firmly disagree that we have a lot of choices. We need to make more diversity of choices because of expression of personalities.
On the one hand, a myriad of choices make people spend much time and money to choose, although they are only slight differences that are not essential part, but about one's preference such as colours. In addition, having a lot of choices makes people take mistakes when they should determine something important. For example, most of companies who design and produce something have a strategy that making their product include more choices. That is the way companies make customers spend much money than they plan by confusing them with what is important.
Nevertheless, I firmly believe that we need more choices because there not enough choices to express our own personalities. In modern society, people think every choice they determine is the way to show who they are and what they pursue. That is the reason why people feel a lack of choices. In fact, many interviews and surveys dealing with the young show that they make effort to express their individualities, though it takes much time and money. They think expression of personalities is more important than any other things. In addition, intriguingly, they argue that a lack of choices makes them spend much time because they hesitate to choose among something that are not enough.
To sum up, it is evident that we do not have a lot of choices to worry about. In contrast, we should make more choices to help people express their personalities easier. |
