It is widely accepted that the more money, the happier. To some degree, it is true, but sometimes lots of money cases much trouble. From my point of view, I don't believe that much money make a person happy. In this essay, I will explain some reasons of my opinion.
It is inevitable that people can purchase many things what they need with money. For example, how can they prepare for their dinner if they do not have any money for buying ingredients of food. In addition, if they have a lack of money to get a proper education, they might have loose chances to get a decent job. Therefore, money is crucial to satisfy the minimum conditions for people to live.
On the other hand, it is obvious that people cannot buy their happiness with much money at all times. The "enough money" is very difficult to define because it is thoroughly subjective concept. Also, some people become unhappy due to too much money. For instance, the children of the rich are likey to quarrel to get more portion of the inheritances of their parents' fortune. And we can easily find that many lottery winners turn become unfortunate. Hence, it is more important managing money reasonably than having more money.
In summary, money is definitely need for living and we should make efforts to earn the money for support our family. However, we should recognize that happiness is generated not from money but from our satisfaction of mind and good relationship with people around us. |
