Your Answer ▼ Recently, a glowing number of governments have been concerned that their countries are overly-depend on roads, and that perhaps increasing investment in railways would be a better approach also for the future of the country it self.
Firstly, more railways can reduce the damage on air pollution. There are a number of researches that shows the carbon dioxides from the cars are one of the most harmful elements which cause air pollution. If the governments can expand the use of railways, which means that improving the numbers of public transportations such as trains and subways, the rates of use in public transportations might increase. Consequently, the carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced. Moreover, not only increasing the numbers of the railways, also the governments' financial supports on improving the current railways systems can positively attract more passengers using public transports. Upgrading interior designs, improving facilities of the train stations and more frequent timetables would be some of the examples.
Secondly, as governments increase its spend to improve railways, there would be a lot of new jobs created for the people. Because it can be considered as a government's policy, spending money on railways can reduce an unemployment rate by creating a stable and safe work loads. For instance, a lot of constructors will be needed for the new railway contractions and staffs, managers, directors in the train stations are going to be hired as well. Therefore, both temporary and long-term jobs are able to be created by government's spending on railways.
In conclusion, there is a change that an electronic car and a hydraulic car are introduced to the public to control the air pollution rates, however, still those approaches cannot solve the problem of seriously growing numbers of cars that causes traffic issues. Thus, I do agree with the given statement and believe this can loosen the problems in both environmental and economic extend. (315 words) |
