Your Answer ▼ It is a common belief that children are better to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. But I firmly believe that big cities are better places for children to grow up. To begin with, cities are better places for children education. These days, children need to go to many afterschool classes to study or to do their hobbies and cities have more educational institutes to fulfill their needs. Anyone can understand this by the fact that admission rate to many prestigious colleges is higer in students from cities than those from countryside. It proves that cities are better places for education not only for children but also for studens of middle and high school. On top of that, there are more medical facilities in cities than in the countryside. Easy accessibility to medical facilities is important for children because they can be sick suddenly by disease or trauma. For instance, children are vulnerable to diseases more than adults because their immune system is less developed than that of adults. Also, children tend to be active and energetic but careless than adults so they get easily injured while playing. Those who are living in the countryside can be in dangerous situation if they are severely injured by an accident, because it takes too much time to get to proper medical facilities. To sum up, cities are better places for children to grow up because of education and easy accessibility to medical facilities. |
