‘Education’ is always an interesting topic to find the best way to
instruct our next generation. Especially, with regard to the debates on the use
of free time of children, I strongly believe they should be invited to our
schools rather than just being freed. And I have some essential reasons to
support this opinion.
First of all, too much free time can badly affects the value of meritocratic
society. We have highly valued meritocratic society that ensured the success of
every child in our society as their talent and hard work allow. However, too
much free time is just exposing our children to their inherent house stratum
from the very beginning of the race. If the inherent family is rich enough to
provide their child to have good quality of private education, or the parents
are generous enough to invest their time with loving children to have
meaningful discussions, these houses children are lucky. However, what about
the children who were born in the extremely busy family that just get on in
life while unwillingly let their child being freed without any proper support
or plans for the future. As such, to smash above mentioned exemplary natural
barriers between families, we should change the too much free time of children into
institutionalized school care for everyone that can secure our meritocratic
value.
For the next, our society is requiring overwhelming quantity of knowledge
then before. Thus, our children must be prepared earlier then their previous
generation. For example, our parents’ generation did not necessarily learn ‘Drawing
Big-Data’ or ‘Applying Computer Code’. However, children in these days must
learn those things to get on in their life as our society becomes more information
and computer based society while still being required to learn essential
subjects like ‘History’, ‘Literature’ and ‘Arts’ just like their parents. As
such, it can be a wise choice to put our children into the school as early as
possible for their future rather than being lagged behind from the
fast-evolving world.
‘Education’ is the most important topic in our society as our
children are everything in our society’s future. So, we should keep our important
values while also being practical when we deal with the education of our next
generation. In that context, put more weigh on institutionalized school system
than mere enough free time is far more sensible to secure our meritocratic society
and be prepared for the changing future.
