These days, there are many museums that charge for admission, but others are free of charge. It is undeniable that charging people for admission to museums has disadvantages. Although charging fees to museums has shortcomings, merits on charging for admission far outweigh the drawbacks.
Admittedly, it it true that there are some disadvantages on charging people for some money to museums. It is generally considered that museum has some characteristics as public materials, and so some people believe that museums do not have to charge for admission fees. To be specific, If some museums receive admission, people woud not go to the museum. Therefore, the rates of visiting museum might decrease. In fact, some cities charged for admission for people and so museum changed admission policy to free of charge.
In spite of shortcomings in policy on charging for admission to museums, imposing admission about visiting museums can not be ignored. Nowadays, many municipal governments have difficulties on economic status. In addition, local cities want to gather more money to meet citizen's various needs, but there are some limits to fund due to the low economic environments. Therefore, it is necessary that museums have to impose admission to the public. In some local governments, money that is accumulated by admission to museum is used well to improve the museum facility and enhance citizens' needs.
In conclusion, although charging people for admission to museums is disadvantages, the merits on imposing admission far outweigh the shortcomings. Charging people for admisson to museums is more good to services for the public. |
