The charts represent information on what people used to travel to a university in the years 2004 and 2009.
Overall, while taking
a car was the most used transport to go to the university in 2004, bus became the
most utilized one in 2009. However, taking a train, bicycle and walking were more
minor methods of transport compared with utilizing a bus or a car in 2004 and 2009.
Looking at the charts
more closely, more than half of people used cars to travel to the university in
2004, accounting for 51%. This was followed by bus, bicycle, walking and train,
amounting to 33%, 9%, 4% and 3%. After car parking fees charged in 2006 and a bus
stop was made in 2008, the figure for bus increased to 46% by 13% points in 2009.
By contrast, only 28% of people took cars to commute in the same year. While the
figure for bicycle went up from 9% to 16%, the others remain stable over the period.
