Many families move to different countries. Some people think children can benefit from this, while others consider it is hard for children if families move to a foreign country. Discuss both views and your opinion.
Nowadays, a number
of families go to other nations to live. Some people assert that it can have
positive effects on children, while others insist that it would make children go
through some kinds of hardship. In the essay, I will discuss these two ideas
and also suggest my own opinion.
Some people maintain
that children can broaden their horizons and easily learn foreign language if
they move to oversea nations. Having numerous opportunities to meet foreigners in
different countries, children can significantly diversify their experiences and
deeply understand various cultural backgrounds. In addition, since children may
be used to using a foreign language faster than adults, they can improve the foreign
language skills even in the short term. Thus, moving to other nations is a great
chance for children to be familiar with a variety of cultures and languages.
In spite of benefits,
I believe that it would bring out negative influences on children in terms of socialization
because it may be substantially difficult for them to maintain good relationship
with their foreign peers in school. Since children may be not good at speaking foreign
language, they could not communicate with their friends who use a foreign one. Accordingly,
they may lose enough opportunities to improve their socializing skills and even
they might be isolated from their peer groups.
In conclusion, even
though children who move to different countries in which they were born could gain
the various cultural knowledge regarding foreign countries and be easily taught
second languages at a early age, I think that they may be excluded from friends
in schools until they can speak the foreign one well.
