The bar graphs below depict the amount of jobs in four types of tourism industry in a UK city from 1989 to 2009. In general, all four types of jobs have experienced some fluctuations with no significant shifts between leading jobs and others.
To be specific, jobs in restaurant which hired the largest number of people in 1989 reached its peak in 2004 with 1,600 jobs and changed to downward trend until 2009. The number of people working in hotels was biggest in 1994 with 1,400 above than the number of restaurant’s statistics.
Meanwhile, the number of employees in sports and leisure industry fluctuated over 20 years and became smaller than its starting point with merely 700 employees in 2009. Travel and tours industry which was placed at the bottom among four industries in 1989 remained same status due to half-sized statistics in 2009. To conclude, there were ups and downs in the figures of four industries. However, no big changes were made between four given industries order of impact on job market.
