The bar chart gives the information about the proportion of Australian men and women who did physical exercise on a regular basis in 2010.
Generally, higher percentage of women did work out regularly more than men through all age categories, but only when they were from 15 to 24 years old, the proportion of men who did physical exercise were higher than the figure of women. Also, the proportion of women who worked out were high for their mid-ages, but the percentage of men who were more physically active were higher when they were young or old.
The percentage of men in 15 to 24 age group was 52.8%, which was the highest point for men, and the only period that the rate of women were lower than men. However, the proportion decreased as men got old, and the figure of 35 to 45 year old fell to its lowest point at 39.5% . Then the figure increased gradually, and finally, at 65 and older age group, the figures of men and women met at approximately 47%, showing the smallest gab. While the proportion of women increased gradually, it reached the peak at round 53.3% when they were 45 to 54 years old, then the proportion decreased to 47.1% at 65 and older group.
