You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.
Write a letter to the manger of the hotel. In your letter
- say what the participants liked about the hotel
- explain why they were unhappy about the food
- suggest what the manager should do to improve the food in the future
Dear Sir or Madam,
It has been pleasure for myself and my company to organize
2019 annual meeting in your hotel. I would like to express the thankfulness to
all of your staff for taking care of the big event throughout the day on behalf
of my company.
Many participants were really satisfied with the hotel, in particular
spacious meeting room. The number of participants was more than expected, which
was why I was so much worried about. However, the room was big enough for the
entire participants to be free to walk around. In addition, the CEO of my
company was truly impressed by the kindness of your staff. They were always
open for any help and quickly resolved any problem we had have.
Some participants, however, were unhappy about the food for
lunch. As we discussed on the phone before the meeting, around 30 people were
vegetarian. With this regard, I asked your restaurant to prepare for vegetarian
dishes enough for as much as 30 portion. However, in fact, for some reasons,
they only served 25 dishes and said there was no more food without meat.
Participants who did not have prepared meal had to go out and buy their lunch
by themselves. That was big disappointment, as we only had an hour lunch break
and the lunch is another social event.
In order to avoid this unhappy issue for the next year’s
meeting, I suggest you ask the chef of the restaurant to prepare enough
vegetarian food, which would be better to have extra more dishes just in case.
I also try to give you the expected number of vegetarian among participants as
accurately as possible. For the 2020 annual meeting, I am looking forward to
sharing all positive feedback with you.
