Question:
Last weekend you attended the Canada Day community picnic. The event was a potluck, so everyone brought a dish of food to share. Some people, including you, have allergies or can’t eat some types of food, such as nuts and seafood, so you included a list of ingredients with your dish. No one else did this.
Write an email to the community picnic organizer in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:
- Express your overall enjoyment of last week’s event.
- Explain why each potluck dish needs a list of ingredients.
- Describe how the potluck could be differently organized next year.
Answer:
To whom it may concern,
This is Sunny who participated Canada Day community picnic.
It was fabulous experience! I can communicate with new amazing people and share our delicious food. I truly appreciate that people who make effort to held this event.
However, there is one thing that I was disappointed. That is because that people didn’t make a list of ingredient of the food that they brought. There are some people including me who is suffered from food due to allergies such as nuts and seafood. It’s hazardous that might incur death due to disable breathing.
Here are suggestion for potluck party for next year:
- Make people submit food name and list of ingredients before event.
- Make table and assign spot to participants.
- Print the list of ingredients by authorities, and put on each spot.
I believe that party would be more enjoyable and safe to everyone with the changes.
Thanks for reading this email and party again.
Regards,
Sunny
