Schools nowadays tend to put emphasis on practical subjects. In this regard, it is often argued that computer and science should be taught more. However, some people say that music should also be considered to be an important subject, and I also agree with them. In this essay, I will discuss why I believe that music is worth learning.
It will be necessary to teach music in schools because it awakens students’ artist self in them. Young people are sensitive beings and can understand music more naturally, and they can develop their sensitiveness because some good songs stimulate many different senses. Also, composing songs is a way to express themselves, and it can make them to be a creative person. This creativity will be developed better when they are younger.
Playing and learning music will also make the learners resilient and give them a sense of achievement. For example, playing the piano is the best way to do so. When a student learns how to play the piano, they use only their right hand, and as they get used to do it, they start to use their left hand as well. In this way, they can check their progress more intuitively. This will also influence their academic achievements when they study other subjects.
In conclusion, I personally believe that music should equally be taught in schools. This is because good music can teach creativity and resilience which are important for their success in school and life. |
