Today, the Internet is the source of many important information, and in this regard, it is often argued that museums cannot be replaced with one online. However, some opponents and I do not agree with this opinion and think that online museums can already be enough to be the source. In this essay, I will discuss the reasons.
Actually, people can constantly be connected to the Internet networks for 24 hours everyday. There is no holidays for online museums, and it never shuts down. Moreover, there is no limit of capacity of visitors because it is not an actual physical space to visit. This better accessibility will be able to attract more people and make them be more interested in culture and history that it contains.
Also, it takes too much money to maintain cultural and historical museums. As most of them contain old items and works, it can be unnecessary for the government to invest the same amount of money that they used to. This is because there are already many governed areas that need to be prioritised and carefully managed. The internet can prevent the government from using money for unimportant museums for its maintenance that will cause an another problem elsewhere.
In conclusion, cultural and historical museums can be unimportant and unnecessary because their contents can be found on the Internet and its convenience can save a lot of money. |
