Q. Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
A:
There is a disagreement regarding the issue of whether or not governments should cost on railways rather than roads. Even though there are people who think that governments build more roads. But I personally think that it is an effective policy because the railways can be a sustainable development and reduce traffic congestion for commuters.
First of all, governments should spend money on railways because this can lead positive outcomes. For example, train and metro emit less carbohydrate than cars. Inspite of using fossile fuel, railways use electricity or sustainable energy for their drive. For this reason, ecologists in the United States underscore the importance of railways, this is because railways play an essential role in sustainable development. These transportation don't affect air pollution. As a result, most of all countries who have interest in the environment, invest on railway business.
Also, it is evident that railways have reduced the traffic congestion. Because, they are more effecient way for commuters. On the private car, people can ride 7 persons at most. However, train can transport at least 300 people at once with their special roads. So this cut commuting time for commuters. This is clearly shows that the trains and metro help people doesn't waste their time on the road.
In conclusion, the development of railways is a contentious topic because there are opinions that support and oppose this idea. However, I personally believe that governments put their money on railways because these system can reduce pollutes and decrease traffic congestion.
