Which jobs is wearing of uniform good for?
What are the disadvantages of wearing uniform to work?
Employees in many companies and some organisations must wear uniform. I also agree some particular jobs or industries should require to wear uniform due to various reasons. But there are also disadvantages at the same time.
First, people who work in construction sites can be in danger easily. In fact, many people have been injured because they did not follow the requirements of wearing safety equipment such as helmet. To prevent unexpected accidents, proper outfits would be mandatory. Plus, jobs such as police officer or firefighters are also needed to wear special uniform. Police officers are always in the risks of being in serious criminal scenes, and firefighters usually have to face high temperature fire. Thus, they have to wear uniforms that are specially made to be protected.
In contrast, there are some disadvantages for uniform as well. In some countries, students have to wearing uniforms in middle school and high school. Especially, young teenagers usually want to express their individuality. However, I assume forcing them to wear uniform can be regarded as ignoring their opinions. Sometimes, the fabric that was used can be inconvenient to wear. For instance, In South Korea, The number of students from school complain that they feel too hot in summer time due to bad quality of their school uniform.
In conclusion, there are some particular jobs that should be required to wear uniform due to the safety. However, there are some disadvantages. Being forced to wear uniform can ignore people’s individualities. Sometimes, it can be inconvenient as well.
