Some universities now offer their courses on the Internet so that people can study online. Is this a positive or negative development?
Recently, lots of classes by using the Internet are popular and preferred by students learning in universities. There are advantages and disadvantages on the Internet lessons in colleges. I will present two aspects and the following reasons.
As for positive view on the Internet classes, learners can study anywhere with the regardless of fixed places and time. This is because they use various means such as smart phone, laptop and I-pad. Precisely, those who study in a remote college suffer from a lot of time that they commute the school. Meanwhile, if they participate in the online class, they may save time and not need to experience fatigue and traffic jam. The saved time will make them efficient, spending time in searching their talents and enjoy their leisure activities.
In contrast, others claim that online courses have adverse effects. The one of reasons is that the number of people actually studying the online will fell. This is because they are not monitored by professors and their intention is more important than any other things on the Internet courses. For example, only completion of online classes may be considered significant by students, without passion of the study. They may think that the classes is boring and tests are solved through cheating by using other media or sharing with friends. This violates the objective and significance of education in universities.
In conclusion, online classes offering universities provide their learners with good aspects and side effects like the save of commuting time and the high risk of cheating.
