Overall, it is clear that there was a quite difference in rate of water used for different purposes in six regions. Agricultural use accounted for the biggest percentage in Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia, and South America, whereas industrial use made up the biggest rate in North America and Europe.
According to the North America and Europe pie charts, industrial use took up approximate 50 percentage, followed by using water to agriculture at 39% and 32%, respectively. In addition, North America and Europe experienced the lowest rate in use of domestic use with about 15% of the total.
In term of the Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia, agricultural use account for the biggest percentage with about 85% of total proportion of water used. The remaining two categories merely were composed of around 16%, 12%, and 19%, respectively. A more detailed look at the pie charts reveals that in the case of South America, Agricultural use took up the largest rate with 71% of the total, followed by using water to domestic use and industrial use.
