Some people might opine the assertion that
recycling is not an act to be restricted by law. On the other hand, I firmly
believe that recycling should be implemented legally. In this essay, I will
discuss some reasons to underpin my point of view.
First and foremost, as recycling is strongly
connected to the environment, the protection of nature is the responsibility of the government. In order to do their best to benefit their country, management of waste
should be restricted by them. It is well known common sense that the amount of burning
trash is directly related to carbon dioxide emission If this CO2 released to
the atmosphere, it would bring about severe environmental pollution like global
warming. To prevent such circumstances, the government need to implement legal
action to protect not only the nature of their country, but also their citizens.
It is one of the most required government’s responsibilities.
On the other hand, legal action is the most
beneficial way to restrict people. It would be the best option for people to keep
the discipline without law, but we all know that people tend to ignore regulations
if it is up to their freedom. A survey conducted by the Seoul National University
investigated how people act on the same situations with appropriate regulations
or not. Fifty people were divided into two groups, and they required to write
an essay in 2 hours. The first group had to fine $10 if they could not complete it,
but the other group did it freely. The outcome was the same as expected, as the
first group all completed the task whereas the 60% of the second group could
not succeed, even 50% of them did not write down at all. This result clearly
shows that people are well trained under certain restrictions, and why law is
necessary for citizens to make a better country. Recycling is not a personal
matter but it is a social issue, so it is should be implemented by government
officials as a legal action.
In conclusion, recycling is essential tool
to make an eco-friendly society. Moreover, in order to make a better country, it
should be compulsory for people by law for themselves as well as for the Earth. |
