The line graphs illustrates the amount of enrolments of both overseas students and local students of Australian universities in a decade from 2001 to 2010. Overall, the amount of overseas students shows an upward trend over 10 years, while the number of local students fluctuates in the given years. To be precise, the total enrolments of local students were at approximately 400,000 in 2001, which seems twenty times of overseas students(around 20,000) in a same period. In addition, the amount of commencing enrolments of overseas students was around 10,000 whereas local students generated high amount at about 180,000 in 2001. Looking at the overall flow of the total enrolments of both students, the amount of overseas students steadily increased from at 20,000 in 2001 to over 80,000 in 2010 without any dip, which shows four times growth. In the case of local students, the value steadily climbed until 2007 at 600,000, but after the year it remained unchanged. Moreover, with the regard of commencing enrolments of overseas students, it followed increasing trend, whilst the amount of local students fluctuated.
