There has been an enormous development in the agriculture sector, which enabled people to have sufficient food; however, many people on the other side of the planet are still starving out of hunger. We should think over why some regions are suffered from a lack of food supply and try to solve the problem with a whole heart.
As technology developed, various machines that could help farming were introduced. Since then, there were tremendous advances in agriculture. Often, vegetables are overly produced in the US, so it should be thrown away to maintain the price of products. On the other hand, half of the population on earth is struggling with a lack of food. This is because not everywhere on earth is fertile enough to harvest vegetables and fruits. Water supply is key to a successful harvest. For instance, west Africa consists of desserts, so that it is not easy to get water. Consequently, people living in Africa could suffer from hunger due to the hardship of obtaining clean water. Besides, when a country is not rich enough to secure its citizens, the problem gets worse.
Moreover, Some countries can not import agriculture to their land because of political conflicts. For example, North Korea cannot import food from capitalistic countries, and even humanitarian supports are prohibited.
For the happiness of all, developed countries should pay attention to the poverty of developing countries and give economic aid in order to build proper water supply facilities in the suffering regions. Humanitarian aids are needed for those starving countries to import surplus vegetables from developed countries. Import and export procedures should be simplified, and sanctions and regulations should be loosened.
