Your Answer ▼ These days, it is not at all difficult to get approach to advertisements whether intended or not. There are controversies if the advertisements are effective or not. Even though both views have rationales, in my opinion, I think advertising still has power for people to consume products.
On the one hand, we can see advertisements through internet browser, social network service, some blogs, and even on television dramas and shows. As it is infiltrated so deep in our lives, we no longer stare at them with mildest curiosity, and skips or avoids it annoyingly. We hardly welcome advertisements shown abruptly. However, if some advertisements are made creatively, people concentrate on them without knowing it. For example, Samsung advertises their newly designed mobile phones emphasizing its posh, refined appearance with adequate music. Soon, people started searching and investigating those mobile phones. Therefore, I think advertisements still have potential to attract customers.
On the other hand, there are real effects of advertisements. When we decide to buy a new product, we naturally get interested when this product is shown on medias. The more exposure we experience of the product, the more plausible we get familiar to that. And this familiarity is the key to connection to purchasing.
In conclusion, I think advertising has ability for people to consume products, because it appeals people with familiarity based on a number of exposures to public. |
