It is true that only few women are in senior positions, although a lots of women are in the workforce. While this is a serious problem, it can be solved by flexible policies of government and companies for women and men. The main cause of many women in the workforce today, but only a few are in high-ranking is they can not do anything when get a married or have a baby. When she gets married or has a baby, she has to be all responsible for her family, but there is no time that she concentrates on company’s work. We can see many examples of this situation in our society, women are give up or take a rest when have a baby, but they almost quit the job. Because they have big responsibility to take care of their kids or companies does not want to them anymore.
However, there are solutions to solve this problem. one of the ways to increase rate of senior positions for women is government and companies are offer more useful solutions not only for women but also for men. They have to offer them appropriate policy that maintain their jobs, whatever there is a time that they have responsible for family. Moreover, it can not be limited for women. Because, if the policy applied only for women, they feel burdensome and it can bring other problems. For example, policies that extended and gave atmosphere of freedom to submit for paternity leave and maternity leave make women more free from burdensome for take care of baby by herself and they do not have to quit their job anymore. Therefore, they can keeping their job. To sum up, it is clear that the rates of senior positions of women still lower. Nevertheless, the issue can be resolved by give them modified policies that fit with modern society’s problems. |
