In contemporary society, there are some people who argue that the program of international student exchange could have positive influences on all young students, whereas others insist that it is difficult to bring about desired outcomes in reality. These opposing argumentes provoke a contentious issue among the general public. The following essay will mention both its merits and dismerits with my opinion regarding this topic.
On the one hand, it is the fact that school students are highly likely to be exposed to the English in various settings through this exchange program. This is because all teenage can be participated in the schoolwork with foreign students. Particularly, they might not onlyt make new foreign friends but also get to know other customs or cultures in the classroom. For example, most of the curriculum about international student exchange normally include doing group projects and discussing any given topics on a regular basis. Therefore, it absolutely helps young students to enhance the language speaking level to a level where they can deliver exact messages or opinions to native speakers in the long run.
On the other hand, there is no doubt that the majority of parents are likely under the financial pressures due to the expanse of this program. The reason why is that there is a higher probability that many parents who make ends meet could not afford to support their children's education in general as providing more broad opportunities like studing overseas. In addition, this extra education curriculum can widen the educational gap between the rich and the poor over the course of the time. Thus, it is apparent that studying abroade by participating this exchange program are much more likely to put considerable pressure on their household economy as well as provoke new conflicts among citizens.
To summarize, it is obvious that it has advantages as well as disadvantage in our lives. However, in my view, I firmly believe that these merits far outweigh its drawbacks. As I mentioned earlier, since it must be a valuable experience to all teenagers into adulthoold by becoming more confident on other languages.
