Some people contend that moving to another country, where people use foreign language, to live can make serious social and practical problems. However, I don’t agree that living abroad could cause big problems for some reasons.
First of all, I want to talk about the social things. Some one can insist that people have a hard time to make friends in another country due to the barrier of languages. However, there can be many foreign friends who are just moved there just like us. So, if we have a will to meet many friends, we can make a chance to meet another foreigners. Furthermore, as times go by, we can be accustomed to the foreign language, and then we can make local friends. According to one research in Columbia University, people can naturally talk another language after 6months when they moved.
Next, in case of practical things, I think also there are no serious problems when we live in foreign countries. I believe that there are no noticeable differences between living in homeland and living in another country. Since in contemporary societies the ways people live are similar, people can easily adapt to the other society. Furthermore, development of IT make it easier for people to live abroad. If we need to sign complicated documents such as housing contracts, we just use a google-translator on internet.
To sum up, taking another foreign friends, being accustomed to another language into account, social problems are not main issue when we live in another country. In addition, there would be less practrical problems because modern life styles are like each other and IT can help us anywhere anytime. Therefore, I don’t agree livging in a country where we have to speak a foreign language can cause problems.
