When the child is taught at home, each child can receive more attention and care. This is because the educator can concentrate on one child, compared to being in school and having numbers of children sharing one educator. This can benefit the child's mental stability, since high levels of affection is needed when young. Also by homeschooling, children who would have difficulties in school can receive an equal, more adjusted education. For example, if there was a child who had a disability in reading, homeschooling could provide a more suitable education program for the child. Teaching children at home will help each child to receive education needed to develope respecting their own characteristic. There are also Cons in children going to school. First of all, teachers in schools are trained experts in the field of child education. They have a numerous experience in childcare, and is a employee proved by the school and the government. This means they are likely to have a deep understanding in children, and helping their development. Also having a social interaction with peers is a critical way of learning and developing as a member of the society. At home, it is hard to meet a group of random peers. If it wasn't for school, I could not have met friends from different backgrounds, and learn from them. Even an unpleasant fight with a classmate helped me learn about interaction. I personally believe it is important for children to go to school, rather than staying at home to be taught. There are experiences home cannot offer to a growing child. A children must make mistakes, argue, and struggle with the unfamiliar to develop fully. School is a place designed for children to make mistakes safely, so it is important for children to go to school. |
