Your Answer ▼ There is controversy over whether the government should limit drivers who use their cars during rush hour by imposing a fee to reduce air pollution from exhaust fumes. I strongly believe that the government should implement a policy thatrestrice drivers not to drive their vehicles during rush hour. To begin with, decreased the number of cars in rush hour can reduce air pollution effectively. That is, if the government impose a fee on drivers, they may tend to use transportation system instead of using their own cars. And then this lead to decreasing airpollution from exhaust fumes. An example can show that the number of cars matter. In Korea, there is a policy that people cannot use their cars. Some people cannot drive their vehicles on Mondays, and other people cannot use their cars on Tuesdays. In this way, there are less cars in rush hour as well. Also the air pollution significantly decreased compared to before. On top of that, the policy of imposing a fee on citizen who drive cars during rush hour also reduce pollution from paused cars. Inother words, solved traffic conjestion problem can help air pollution problem as well. To be specific, if the policy can cut down on traffic jams, people can get their destinaion in much shorter time. This means the air pollution that occurs due to traffic jams also reduced. In conclusion, I strongly intend that imposing a fee on drivers is helpful for reducing air pollution from exhaust fumes. This is because the reduced number of cars and solved traffic conjestion problem have a positive effect on air pollution issue.
