Today, crimes targeting juveniles or juveniles
committed are rapidly increasing at an alarming rate. In other words, teenagers
themselves are becoming perpetrators or victims, and this has become a major
social problem. Curfew has emerged as a way to eradicate this issue, and many
places are actively using this method now. In this essay, I will explain why I
object to the curfew.
First of all, it is possible that the
curfew makes to conflict between children and parents. Teenage is the time when
we want freedom the most in life. In other words, they want to act freely and
break the rules created by their parents or country. If someone is forcing on
teenagers, they certainly will not follow the rules. Besides, many teenagers
strongly tend to think that their peers who break the rules are cool. In other
words, to seek their freedom and be recognized by other friends, teenagers will
break the curfew without any hesitation. Therefore, teenagers will be at odds
with someone who created a curfew and this rule will be ignored.
Lastly, the curfew is violating teenagers’ rights.
Many countries regulate teenagers’ rights and freedoms because they are young.
Teenagers may be immature, but they are also human and their rights must be
protected and should not be invaded by anyone. Curfew is a typical infringement
rule and I think it must be abolished.
Many supporters who agree with curfew believe
that the rule must protect their children and properly guide them. However,
clearly, this rule is violating teenagers’ rights and makes them and their
parents argue. For these reasons, I oppose the curfew. |
