The diagram illustrates how we can produce sugar out of sugar cane. The process has seven steps, including three forms of outcome which are sugarcane, liquid, and sugar. First two steps, the growing and harvesting steps, are processing sugarcane. Initially, it takes 12 to 18 months to grow the sugar canes. After then, there are two methods to harvest grown crops; using machines or doing it by humans. Either ways we can gain sugar canes. Next three stages, from curshing stage to evaporator, are to transform sugarcane to liquid state. Firstly, Crush the plants and extract juice, afterward the juice should be purified through a limestone filter so that we can remove unneccessary pollutants. The pure juice is going to get boiled and becomes syrup since the liquid evaporates. Lastly, final two steps, including centrifuge and drying and cooling, are to gain sugar, the familiar form we know. To gain sugar from the syrup, all we have to is to separate sugar crystals, which is called centrifuge, dry and cool them. |
