Specifically, food consumption had gone down the most for the fifty years, decreasing by half. Additionally, in 1968, the proportion of food consumption was the highest factor at 35 percent, but it became, in 2018, the third largest spending sector among the eight items.
Regarding the increasing expenditure for the research period, the portion of leisure had been raised the most by more than double from slightly below 10 percent to approximately 22 percent, followed by housing and transport by 19 percent and 6 percent respectively.
The other fields, such as energy, garments, and individual commodities, had changed slightly compared to food, housing, and leisure. Moreover, household commodities had leveled out from 1968 until 2018.
