The majority of criminals who already have served their first punishment make more crimes after liberating from prison. This is mainly due to the lack of punishment and education which could make criminals realize their reflection by themselves. There are a number of solutions should be implemented to prevent these problems. Firstly, it is because of weak punishment which is given to criminals. if punishment is not harsh enough, they could regard making crimes as easier than they thought. In addition, a minority of education in prison would lead to the lack of their self-reflection. In prison, they should have the education regarding how much wrong they commit to realize their fault on their own. There are two effective solutions to solve these problems. To tackle one of these problems, we should give strong punishment so that criminals can feel guilty by themselves. Of course, before punishment is served, there would be enough consideration if it is proper or too much either. Plus, criminals should take courses which can guide them in the right way so that they don’t commit crimes again after they unleash. Through this, they can learn the reason why the crimes they made are wrong and this leads them to do self-reflection. In conclusion, giving powerful punishment and enough education to criminals can decline the rate of their re-offending afterwards. To make it possible, there would be an effort of all departments related. Moreover, it would be helpful if there is regulation of governments to be implemented these solutions. |
