Currently, a considerable number of people suggest that money is the most critical key factor in achieving happiness and joy in their lives. In my opinion, while money does play a significant role, there are more important aspects of human daily life, even in the absence of money.
Money is often seen as the key to happiness, but this view is flawed. For instance, young people in Korea are quitting high-paying jobs to prioritize personal happiness, suggesting that money is not the only or most important factor. They are willing to give up money for the sake of enjoying their lives more. This indicates much money could be one option for happiness, not happiness itself.
One of the contributors to human beings’ happiness is health, both body and mind. I believe no one could deny the fact that our health conditions gives a great effect on our feelings. Negative moods such as anger or madness could appeal just because of our lack of strength or mental instability, which could be resolved through actions that do not require any financial investment. Exercising can assist our stamina. Meditation could control our mindsets. All these free activities can lead us to our happiness at no charge.
The second factor is the connection with others that we care about. Just being with our families and friends makes us relaxed and calm, happy and joyful. This is a simple and minor action but has enormous power for our happiness. We could communicate and spend a good time regardless of how much we could pay due to no need for much money. For instance, activities such as walking in the park and reading books in the library together cost zero dollars.
In conclusion, happiness can be found through maintaining a healthy body and mind and cultivating meaningful connections with loved ones, despite one’s financial status.
