The majority of people insist on putting levy on petrol fee would be practices practical in order to prevent air pollution and also deter traffic jam.
I completely disagree on this view because i believe that many other reasons happened at recent times.
As you may know, a large number of global corporation already produced eco-friendly automotives such as fuel-cell, hybrid, and electric vehicles. We can easily find easily out these green-energy cars around the world, which are not beneficial to reduce in reducing traffic jam on the roads. The more possessed environmental-friendly vehicles, the more traffic jam would be expected. EV charging stations is the worst example for of congestion. Even the batteries of green cars are extremely dangerous after usage. the reason is it have significant chemical compounds and magnetic elements.
It is clear that if we put special levy on vehicles drivers who commute at rush hours at certain areas, it probably would make the roads silent. In contrast, if we give drivers extra discount who when they pass the roads at early in the morning or late midnight, it can be beneficial to decrease road traffic. Germany started a game-changing experiment recently. According to BBC, central council promote encouraged inhabitants to use public transportation with fixed amount as 7,000 Euro per month. If say Being said so, citizen can freely use all kinds of transportation such as bus, subway, and even domestic flights. The shortage of funds are supported by government in order to reduce air pollution and traffic jam. Another good example is a Seoul in Korea, where they already combined subway and local inland city buses and it lead to pay-back for commuters if they transfer to another one within 30 minutes during their travel.
In conclusion, I would argue that imposing additional petrol fee is not a good solution to prevent air pollution and congestion as we already have eco-friendly vehicles and related chemical goods.
