I am a PhD student in Mid Western area. I realized that I would not be able to support my family after graduation. I don't have any connections in Korea, in other words, I would do hourly-paying lecture for a long time if come back to Korea.
And I decided to find a job in the U.S.. What is the fastest way to fina a job? I am currently considering a medical licence. I heard that nursing job is not bad in U.S. How about a realtor licence?
Please give me an advice.
Thanks,
I saw your message and reply to your question. Since I was the same situation with you, it may be better to talk about it. I finished 1 year in Ph.D program, but I decided to go to heath care areas since I wanted to reside here in the states. I started studying nursing school, which is two year school but I think it may take three years at least. The competition is higher and higher, so if you want to change the major, it may be better to change it faster.
There is a website about nursing school. cafe.daum.net/usursecollege
try to go there and find information if you are interested in. There are many opportunities even after you finish nursing and get green card. The easiest way to get green card is to major nursing in the States. I heard it takes only 8 months to process. I am thinking about practitioner or dentist, but through this nursing course, I will have to obtain green card. If you have questions, please post your question in the website I mentioned above.
